Tadalafil, which the FDA approved for combatting erectile dysfunction, in combination with the ingredients present in the Active Male supplement, coupled with the lack of necessary labeling, creates an unsafe product that necessitates a recall according to an article posted on NorthcentralPA.com. An individual who unwittingly takes tadalafil could expose himself to life-threatening blood pressure drops, especially if the person is taking a medication containing nitrates, such as nitroglycerin.
Males living with diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease, or high cholesterol frequently use nitrates to treat their medical conditions. The population that takes medication containing nitrates is highly vulnerable to a significant drop in blood pressure after taking tadalafil.
