Hospital doctor sexually abused patients
Dr. Reginald Archibald, now deceased, was a well-known endocrinologist who worked on behalf of Rockefeller University Hospital for more than four decades. After receiving notification from Rockefeller University Hospital of Dr. Archibald’s “inappropriate behavior,” many patients are coming forward alongside their lawyers to voice their concerns about Dr. Archibald’s sexually abusive behavior and the whereabouts of photographs that were taken of patients going back as far as the 1950s.
Both female and male patients of all ages allege that Dr. Archibald sexually abused them and took photographs of them, the location of which is currently unknown. Patients are requesting that Rockefeller University Hospital find the photographs and produce them to the abuse victims and their lawyers. Without knowing the whereabouts of the photographs, many patients continue to feel victimized as nearly anyone could be in possession of the photographs. It is unclear how Dr. Archibald was able to work for Rockefeller Hospital for so long without being held accountable for his sexually abusive behavior.
Holding Rockefeller University Hospital Accountable
Because Dr. Archibald is now deceased, his sexual abuse victims do not have the opportunity to find out from Dr. Archibald (1) why he abused so many patients, and (2) the location of the photos he took of so many patients throughout four decades. Dr. Archibald, unfortunately, can no longer be held accountable for his conduct. As such, patients are left with no choice but to seek answers from Rockefeller University Hospital. As Dr. Archibald’s employer, Rockefeller may be responsible for Dr. Archibald’s horrific conduct, and Rockefeller is the only party available to help track down the numerous photographs taken of sexually abused patients.
Patients have sought the advice of New York lawyers experienced in handling sexual abuse cases to fight to hold Rockefeller University Hospital accountable and to track down the missing photographs. The initial response from Rockefeller is that they do not know where the photographs are. However, they are still the only party in the best position to determine the location of the photographs. Until the photographs are recovered, Dr. Archibald’s former patients will continue to feel the chilling effects of being abused throughout many years. Hopefully, Rockefeller University Hospital will locate the photographs, produce them to the sexual abuse victims and their lawyers, and help to provide closer to a horrific and life-changing experience for so many innocent patients.
