Dangerous Tadalafil Found in Green Lumber
USA- Fda.gov writes that GL Holdings recently issued a voluntary recall of the company’s male enhancement supplements, Green Lumber. The recall applies to products purchased any time up until August 10, 2019, and to the packages containing two, four and ten capsules.
An FDA analysis of the product found that one lot was contaminated with Tadalafil. Tadalafil is used to treat erectile dysfunction, but it can present risks to patients who are taking medication that contains nitrates. The combination of Tadalafil and nitrates can lead to dangerously low blood pressure in patients. The complication can be deadly. Nitrates are often prescribed to patients who have high cholesterol, high blood pressure, heart disease, or diabetes. Patients who take these medications could be at risk when taking Green Lumber.
The contaminated lot was manufactured between June and August, but the voluntary recall applies to all supplements purchased at any time leading up to August 10, 2019. The company says that it issued the expanded recall in an “abundance of caution.”
The product was sold throughout the United States and Canada over the internet. The packaging for Green Lumber is white with a green logo. Anyone who purchased this product is being told not to consume any of it, and to return it to the manufacturer. GL Holdings says it will replace the recalled product at no cost to the consumer.
Patients who experience any health issues after taking this medication are being urged to contact their medical providers immediately.
Anyone who suffers an adverse reaction to the supplements can report that experience to the FDA’s MedWatch Adverse Event Reporting program by mail, fax, or online.
