What is Mirena IUD Uterine Perforation?
A uterine perforation is an accidental puncture of the uterus that can occur with any intrauterine procedure, including IUD placement. Bayer has estimated that this occurs in approximately one per 1,000 – 10,000 ‘Mirena IUD’ insertions.
