STAMFORD, NY – According to an online news report on news12.com, a motorcyclist was involved in a serious accident with an SUV. The motorcyclist is listed as in critical medical condition at the hospital. The accident occurred on West Main Street close to the entrance of Wilson Street.
Police stated that the SUV’s driver and the motorcyclist were traveling in opposing directions when the two vehicles collided. Police stated that the two drivers had green lights. However, the police stated that driver of the SUV admitted to police that he didn’t see the motorcycle as he was attempting to make a left-hand turn.
The motorcyclist has been transported to a local area hospital and sustained life-threatening internal accident injuries. He is currently in critical condition in the ICU. Fortunately, the man was wearing a motorcycle helmet.
According to Stamford Police Segreant Jeffrey Booth, the police have been on scene for several hours collecting evidence. They police investigators also stated that they have not been able to identify the motorcyclist. According to the officers, the motorcyclist had a wallet and his identity is being determined.
