E Coli is a group of bacteria that can cause serious illness if infested. The bacteria can cause diarrhea (sometimes bloody), stomach cramps and vomiting.Although healthier people who become ill due to E. Coli exposure often recover within one week. However, some people can develop Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (HUS), which often affects the elderly and younger children. This HUS can lead to severe kidney damages and can be fatal.
The manufacturer of the flour has indicated that it has not received any reports of illness associated with the use of their products, however, out of an abundance of caution, they are recalling the products. People who purchased the products will receive a full refund, the information of which is provided on the FDA’s recall bulletin.
